“His banner over us is love!”
For 50 years FGBMFI has put a banner sign at the front of our meetings.
In restaurants, hotels, convention centers, and back yard barbeques, we have proclaimed – His banner over us is love – why?…
What does it mean. . To find out let us go to the beginning. .
As a young lad our home was on my grandfather’s very large dairy farm. And, we attended a very small Armenian church. Everyone who attended was an Armenian. Some were of that 1st generation, which because of prophecy had escaped the brutal massacre of Christians.
When the Lord gave my father Demos the vision, which founded FGBMFI, he also gave him a great love for all Christians, the people of all faiths.
There are no barriers in the vision . . and no barriers in FGBMFI.
Perhaps coming from a very small church background, it was easier for Demos to understand the very terrible isolation of any barrier. Just fellowshipping only with your own church regardless how large or how small is not enough. For people working in business, it is important to have a broad range of Christian business friends.
FGBMFI has no barriers – no divisions – no internal separation.
Love overcomes every barrier. Love lifts the fallen. Love will bring forth a new reality. Love makes us whole. Love heals, love gives new life. Love will win the world.
Yes, our Lord enjoys the fellowship of His beloved family, all of us together in Love and Unity.
As a result the banner from King Solomon was made. .
His Banner Over Us Is Love.
This means – we value you
We welcome men from all faiths
We do not speak against any group
We believe through Christ, we are all in our Lords Kingdom
You are welcome, even if we do not agree.
We worship God together in love.
We speak only of what unites. .
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’ love
We speak of the very moment we found Him
Our new life in Christ Jesus
And, our changed lives.
Just like the apostles with Jesus . . we enjoy . .
Fellowship and sharing Let us receive a new baptism of Christs Love.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God – Saint John.
He that loveth not knoweth not God, for God is love – Saint John.
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself – Saint Paul.
God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him – Saint John
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear – Saint John.
We love him, because He first loved us – Saint John.
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love – Saint John.
Love is the simplest yet it is the most eloquent and lasting of all virtues. If you have ever lost someone that you have love, you know that love is forever. It is the only gift you can give that will go into eternity. All your possessions will stay behind. All your works will stay here. All your intentions will stay here. All your great plans will stay here. All the great things you did will stay behind. But love reaches out across eternity. The power of love is forever. Faith, Hope and Charity. The greatest of these is Love. Love is forever.
From the Catholic Bible:
Charity is to be preferred before all gifts.
If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal – II Cor. 13.
The message of the future is love –
